This year, Pop Warner introduced a new special award to honor Pop Warner teams whose work exemplifies positive community impact. The response has exceeded our expectations, and we couldn’t be more excited to tell these stories.
- One team rallying around a teammate’s sibling to raise awareness and money for her battle with cancer, and extending their efforts to help as many childhood cancer patients as they possibly can.
- An association being open to several different causes, getting involved wherever and however they can.
- An organization that has built community service into its program each season, committing to a different cause each year.
- When one team noticed their school’s cupboard was bare, they had a drive to stock the pantry, then they challenged other teams to stock the pantries at more schools in the area.
- Several groups simply responding to the needs of the community when there’s a strong call to action – an individual’s suffering, a natural disaster, etc.
